Mitch Williams

Mitch Williams was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. His Father was a Highway Patrolman for 36 years while his mother worked for JP Stevens textiles. He is a first-generation college graduate - a graduate of Clemson University, Class of 1983, and the University of South Carolina Law School, Class of 1986. While in Law School, he excelled in advocacy courses and was named to the Order of Barristers which recognizes the top 10 students in Moot Court. He served as captain of the International Moot Court team for the University.

In 1985, Mitch began clerking at the Law Firm of Harris & Graves. There he gained a knowledge, understanding and passion for representing injured people. After graduation and passing the BAR examination, he began working at Harris & Graves as an attorney where he worked for 36 years. The last 18 years he was Senior Partner and Managing Partner of the firm.

In the Spring of 2022, the firm underwent numerous changes and departures of partners. At that point, Mitch opened his own practice as Harris, Graves & Williams, LLC. He restricts his practice to representing injured people with an emphasis on auto wrecks and severe injuries. 

​

Mitch is licensed to practice in the State of South Carolina, Federal Court - South Carolina District and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of The South Carolina Association of Justice, National Trial Lawyers Association Top 100 and American Association of Justice. He was voted by his peers into the American Board of Trial Advocates which recognizes lawyers who have demonstrated the ability and ethics to be the top trial lawyers in the United States. In addition, Mitch has an AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking of attorney in the rating system.

Mitch was a Scoutmaster for five and a half years for Troop 224 in Blythewood, S.C. leading numerous young men to the rank of Eagle Scout. He is married and has two adult children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, traveling and spending time on his beloved Lake Wateree. He lives with his wife, 3 dogs and a cat.

Connie Gause

Connie Gause is a litigation paralegal. She communicates with clients, providers, attorneys, and court personnel. She manages the litigation docket, categorizes evidence and assists firm attorneys during jury trials. In addition, Connie serves as an administrative assistant to the partners of the firm and is the IT Support Coordinator to ensure that the firms’ computer networking system is functioning to its fullest capacity. Connie has been in the legal field for 24 years. For 15 of those years, she has served as the litigation paralegal in the Columbia office of Harris and Graves, P.A. She enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, Connie loves to be creative in anything handmade including artwork, crafts, and cake decorating.

Cooper Williams is a one-year-old English Cocker Spaniel who loves playing fetch, coming to work with his "boss" and entertaining office guests. He is quick to love and even faster to give a kiss. If you see him in the office he would appreciate a pat on the head and a cookie from his treat jar!
